As part of its fresh journey, The Farmers Bank Limited is set to carry out its banking operations under a new name from January 2019, the officials said.
The bank’s managing director and CEO Md Ehsan Khasru made the disclosure at a sideline meeting following a conference of the bank’s directors and branch managers, held at Mirpur in the capital on Saturday.
Mr Khasru told the FE that the bank will also change its logo and colour. However, it has yet to decide on the new name, he added.
The bank’s vice-chairman Hasan Imam was the chief guest in the programme while CEO Mr Khasru chaired the event.
As part of the its restructuring process, the bank will focus on providing better services and promoting strong and sustainable customer relationships, the CEO said.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Imam said one of the objectives of the bank under the new name will be to bolster the capital base and accelerate the process of loan recovery.
