Repay export bills duly: BAFEDA

Bangladesh Foreign Exchange Dealers’ Association (BAFEDA) has called for making the payment of all matured and accepted inland export bills timely in line with international practice.

It made the call at the 24th Annual General Meeting for the year 1016-17 recently, with BAFEDA vice chairman Md Abdus Salam Azad F F, also managing director of Janata Bank, in the chair.

Reviewing the overall situation of the related market, BAFEDA noted with satisfaction that a stable and orderly situation was prevailing in the inter-bank foreign exchange market, according to a media statement.

The foreign exchange dealers’ body also reminded all banks of complying with the instructions of the central bank governor in this regard.

BAFEDA is the common platform of all banks involved in foreign exchange transactions in the country.
