Garment workers of Standard MH Group hosted the final match of SGMH Cricket Championship 2025 on Friday at Purbachal, Dhaka.
The match featured SHM Warriors from Shams Styling Wears Ltd taking on the TCEWW Gladiators, a team comprising members from The Civil Engineers Oven Limited and The Civil Engineers Wash Limited. TCEWW Gladiators emerged as the champions after defeating SHM Warriors by five wickets, according to a press release.
The championship trophy and runner-up awards were presented by engineer A K M Mosharraf Hossain, managing director of Standard MH Group. He was accompanied by Deputy Managing Director Hasnat Mosharraf, along with Directors Husna Ara Begum, Faheem Mosharraf, and H T M Quader Newaz, who all contributed to the celebratory atmosphere.
Mohammad Asif was named the Player of the Tournament for his exceptional performance throughout the tournament. The Royal Mawna Team was awarded the Fair Play Trophy for being the most disciplined team in the tournament.
Speakers at the event highlighted the crucial contribution of garment industry workers to the national economy through their dedication and hard work. This year's SGMH Cricket Championship 2025 saw enthusiastic participation from ten teams representing various factories under the Standard MH Group.
