BRAC Bank has marked a significant milestone in its talent development journey with the graduation of the first batch of Branch Young Leaders.
This pioneering initiative has been designed to build a strong pipeline of future-ready branch leaders to support the bank’s expanding distribution network and deliver superior customer experience nationwide, according to a press release.
The Branch Young Leaders programme represents a strategic investment in developing high-potential young professionals who will drive operational excellence, innovation, and customer-centric service across the bank’s branch network. By nurturing leadership capabilities early, BRAC Bank is reinforcing its long-term commitment to strengthening human resources and advancing the future of banking in Bangladesh.
Over the course of a year, the Young Leaders completed a rigorous and comprehensive rotational training programme covering branch operations, customer relationship management, compliance, governance, and responsible banking practices. The curriculum combined structured departmental attachments, hands-on operational experience, and a month-long intensive Banking Foundation Course at the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM), equipping participants with the knowledge, discipline, and leadership mindset required to excel in a dynamic banking environment.
The graduation ceremony titled ‘Learner to Leader’ was held at the bank’s Head Office in Dhaka on February 17, 2026, in the presence of Managing Director & CEO Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, members of the Management Committee, and senior leaders, who congratulated the graduates on successfully completing the transformative leadership journey.
On the auspicious occasion, Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, Managing Director & CEO of BRAC Bank, said: “The future of banking will be shaped by leaders who combine strong values, digital fluency, and deep customer empathy. Through the Branch Young Leaders programme, we are investing in exceptional young talents who will redefine branch banking and strengthen our leadership pipeline for the future. These graduates will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission of delivering trusted, inclusive, and future-ready banking across Bangladesh.”
This appointment of branch-specific human resources underscores BRAC Bank’s strong focus on building institutional strength through talent development and preparing the next generation of leaders to sustain growth, uphold governance excellence, and deliver meaningful impact to customers and communities.
