Four-day int’l plastic trade show to kick off Wednesday

A four-day international trade show related to the plastic and allied sectors will begin on Wednesday at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Purbachal.

The event titled '17th Bangladesh International Plastic, Packaging and Printing Industrial’ will create a major matchmaking platform for stakeholders from home and abroad.

Bangladesh Plastic Goods Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BPGMEA) is organizing the event in association with the Yorkers Trade & Marketing Company.

BPGMEA president Shamim Ahmed made the announcement at a press conference held in the BPGMEA headquarters in the city’s Paltan area on Monday.

Former BPGMEA Presidents, present office bearers, overseas director of Yorkers Trade Marketing Akai Lin, and industry people were present at the conference.

Speaking on the occasion, BPGMEA president Shamim Ahmed said every year, the event attracts a large number of machinery, mold, and raw material manufacturers and suppliers.

This year, more than 390 brands from 18 countries will participate in the exhibition, showing their products and services at 800 stalls. Both domestic companies and international exhibitors from countries including China, India, Germany, Japan and Italy will join the fair.

Recognized as one of the largest industrial fairs in Southeast Asia, the IPF plays a crucial role in creating investment opportunities, expanding markets, and contributing to the economic growth of the country, said Mr Ahmed.
