The price of gold has set a new record in Bangladesh as the Jewellers’ Association (Bajus) started selling gold at Tk 119,637 per bhori (11.664 grams) starting this evening (Thursday).
The association's standing committee on pricing and price monitoring decided on the new price at a meeting in the evening, Bajus said in a statement, according to local media.
Previously, gold was priced at Tk 117,573 per bhori.
The price first exceeded Tk 100,000 per bhori on July 20 last year.
