In a span of 24 hours, the prices of gold in the country's local market witnessed a hike again as the Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (Bajus) on Sunday raised the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 1,084 per bhori (11.664 grammes).
The new rate for the precious metal will come into effect on Monday, BAJUS said in a press release, attributing the adjustment to a rise in pure gold prices.
According to the latest tariff, 22-carat gold will be sold at Tk 119,544 per bhori, 21-carat at Tk 114,109, and 18-carat at Tk 97,803 per bhori.
On Saturday, BAJUS raised gold prices by Tk 1,178 per bhori.
