The price of gold in Bangladesh has surged to a new all-time high, crossing the Tk 0.1 million-mark for the first time.
The Bangladesh Jewellers' Association (BAJUS) announced on Thursday that the new price of gold per bhori (11.664 grams) will be Tk 100,778. This is an increase of Tk 1,984 from the previous price of Tk 98,794.
The surge in gold prices is attributed to the rise in the international market. The price of the metal on the international market has been on the rise in recent months.
