In step with global trends, the government has hiked the domestic price of all fuel types by Tk 2 per litre.
The Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources announced the revision in a statement on Sunday, confirming that the new rates will take effect from midnight, bdnews24.com reports.
Under the revised structure, diesel will go up from Tk 102 to Tk 104 per litre, octane from Tk 122 to Tk 124, petrol from Tk 118 to Tk 120, and kerosene from Tk 114 to Tk 116.
Since February 2024, Bangladesh has been adjusting domestic fuel prices through an automatic pricing mechanism aligned with the global market.
