Hajj Finance gets new managing director

Md Shafiqur Rahman has recently joined Hajj Finance Company Limited (HFCL) as the Managing Director, according to a press statement from the financial institution on Wednesday.

Before joining HFCL, he served as the Deputy Managing Director of Al Arafah Islami Bank PLC.

Shafiqur Rahman completed his Master’s degree in Accounting and Management from the University of Dhaka in 1985 and began his banking career as a Probationary Officer at Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC.

During his tenure at Islami Bank, he held various roles, including manager of the Sadarghat and Farmgate branches, as well as positions in the local office. He also served as the Head of the Sylhet Zone, Dhaka Zone, ICT Wing, and International Banking Wing.

Throughout his career, he has received training in banking and finance both locally and internationally and has participated in numerous seminars, workshops, and symposiums.
