ICMAB delegation meets Secretary of Ministry of Commerce

A delegation from The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB), led by its Vice President Mr. Md. Kausar Alam FCMA, met with Mr. Mahbubur Rahman, the newly appointed Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, on Wednesday (March 5, 2025) at his office.

During the meeting, the ICMAB delegation briefed the Secretary on the institute’s activities and discussed key issues related to the development of the Cost and Management Accounting (CMA) profession in Bangladesh, according to a media release.

They also sought the ministry’s support in further advancing the profession.

Mr. Mahbubur Rahman commended the role of CMAs in the country’s economic growth and assured his full cooperation in strengthening the profession.

The meeting was attended by ICMAB Vice President Mr. Abdul Matin Patwary FCMA, Past President Mr. Mohammed Salim FCMA, Council Member Mr. Mohammed Jahangir Alam FCMA, and Executive Director Mr. Md. Mahbub-Ul-Alam FCMA.
