ICMAB holds orientation programme for newly admitted students

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) organised an orientation programme for the newly admitted Dhaka-based students of the January–June 2024 session on Monday at its Ruhul Quddus Auditorium in Nilkhet area of Dhaka.

Prof. Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, FCMA, --- Past President of ICMAB, current council member, and treasurer of the University of Dhaka, --- joined the event as the chief guest, according to a press release.

The programme was started with a welcome address by Mr. Mohammed Jahangir Alam FCMA, Chairman of the ICMAB Students Affairs Committee, followed by a well-articulated academic briefing on the CMA programme by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Zakaria Masud FCMA, Executive Director (Additional Charge) of ICMAB.

During the event, fellow and associate members of the institute conducted a session for effective planning of the CMA journey. In the final session, the office bearers of ICMAB formally welcomed the newly admitted students with inspiring words, the press release said.

In his presidential speech, Prof. Dr. Md. Salim Uddin, FCA, FCMA, welcomed the newly admitted students and emphasised the practice of having the right attitude to become a successful professional accountant.

The chief guest of the programme, Prof. Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed FCMA, also shared insightful words that are invaluable for the successful completion of the CMA qualification, the press release added.

Among others, Vice-President Mr Md. Akhtaruzzaman FCMA, Secretary Mr S. M. Zahir Uddin Haider FCMA, and Treasurer Mr Abdul Matin Patwary FCMA were present and shared motivational words with the audience.
