Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) has organised an orientation programmme for the students of 55th Batch of the Chartered Secretary (CS) Course on Wednesday, February 05, 2025 at 7:00 P.M at ICSB premises. The inauguration session was attended by a good number of students.
Mr. Md Zakir Hossain, Secretary & Chief Executive Officer of the institute moderated the programme. He began by welcoming the newly admitted students to the new chapter of their lives, and then detailed how this professional qualification would be instrumental in their career advancement.
While delivering the welcome remarks, Mr. Abul Fazal Mohamed Rubayat FCS, Council Member and Chairman of Education Committee of ICSB appraised about the course and class conducting process. He briefly explained the prospects of the Chartered Secretary profession and assured about constant cooperation.
Mr. A. K. M. Mushfiqur Rahman FCS, Vice President of ICSB wholeheartedly welcomed the new entrants and focused on the importance of this profession in the national and global context.
Mr. M Nurul Alam FCS, Acting President of ICSB extended a warm welcome to all newly admitted students, highlighting the career prospect of Chartered Secretary profession. He emphasised Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) concept while delivering his speech. He highlighted the significant shortage of Chartered Secretaries in the corporate sector and encouraged all aspiring professionals to address this gap to support national economic growth.
Finally, he officially inaugurated the 55th Batch of the Chartered Secretary (CS) Course by extending warm greetings.
The Question and Answer (Q&A) session was spontaneous where students participated with relevant questions.
Mr. Salim Ahmed FCS, Council Member; Mr. Oli Kamal FCS, Council Member; Mr. Md. Sharif Hasan FCS, Council Member; Mr. Mohammed Harun-Ar-Rashid FCS, Council Member; Mr. Mohammad Shafiqul Islam Bhuiyan FCS, Council Member were present in the orientation programme.
In the concluding note, Mr. Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun FCS, Treasurer of ICSB, accented the demanding nature of the Chartered Secretary qualification, He explained that succeeding in this field requires both a deep desire to learn and a consistent dedication to study.
