IFIC Bank holds open credit disbursement program for marginal clients in Munshiganj

Under the refinancing initiative of Bangladesh Bank, an open credit disbursement program was organized as part of the Tk. 7.50 billion revolving Refinancing Scheme designed for marginal and landless farmers, low-income professionals, school banking account holders and small businessmen maintaining Tk. 10/50/100 accounts.
The program was held on 21 November 2025 at an auditorium in Munshiganj Sadar with the participation of 32 scheduled banks. IFIC Bank PLC hosted the event as the lead bank, according to a press release.
The event was presided over by Mr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, Deputy Managing Director and Chief of Branch Business, IFIC Bank. Ms. Kazi Mutmainna Tahmida, Additional Director, Financial Inclusion Department, Bangladesh Bank, attended as the Chief Guest.
The Special Guests were Ms. Tania Bhuiya, Deputy Director, Financial Inclusion Department, Bangladesh Bank and Mr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Deputy Manager, BSCIC Office, Munshiganj.
Under the refinancing scheme, loans were disbursed to 27 borrowers across different categories.Officials from 32 participating banks, along with local business representatives, were also present at the program.
