Inflation increased in December on a point-to-point basis, driven by higher prices of both food and non-food items, according to the latest data from the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).
Overall inflation stood at 8.49 per cent in December, up from 8.29 per cent in November.
Food inflation was recorded at 7.71 per cent during the month under review, while non-food inflation was registered at 9.13 per cent.
