Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC received MasterCard Excellence Awards-2024 in two categories.
The bank won the “Excellence in Prepaid Card (Domestic) for highest debit card transactions and “Excellence in Product Innovation” award for new service innovation by launching a co-branded Smart Parking Card with MasterCard and Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), according to a press release.
These awards were presented at a ceremony held on 16 November 2024 at the Radisson Blu in Dhaka.
Ahsan H. Mansur, governor of Bangladesh Bank, handed over the prizes to Mosharraf Hossain, executive vice president of the bank.
Syed Mohammad Kamal, country manager MasterCard, along with secretaries of various ministries, managing directors and senior executives of different banks, fintech companies and business organizations of the country, attended the event.
