'Islami Bank Hajj Pre-paid Card' gains popularity

The 'Islami Bank Hajj Prepaid Card' has already gained immense popularity among the Hajj pilgrims for its simple and secure transaction features. 

The card has been designed to make this spiritual journey more secure, smart and worry-free for the pilgrims, according to Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC (IBBL).

The card users do not need any bank account, and there are no extra complications to get the card, the validity of which is for three years.

The cardholders can carry up to 4,500 Saudi Riyals, approximately Tk 150,000, to make their daily transactions, said the IBBL.

The users can obtain this special card by filling out a 'Service Request Form' at their nearest Islami Bank's branch through their passport, visa copy, National ID, two photos, proof of address and an active mobile number.

"…we are committed to saving your hard-earned money. Using the card at POS machines for shopping incurs only a 1.0 per cent charge, which is exceptionally cost-effective. For emergency cash withdrawals from ATMs, the cost is just 1.0 per cent of the amount in addition to US$ 1.0," said the bank.

Modern digital features are integrated into the card so that the pilgrims can make their necessary financial transactions easily without carrying cash. They can maintain full control over their finances even while in Saudi Arabia.
