The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Bangladesh Office has announced a videography contest to engage people in sharing their personal experiences with the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Line 6.

The contest titled #MyMRTExperience invites citizens, filmmakers, and content creators to capture their daily experience with the MRT, according to a press release issued by the JICA on Wednesday.

The JICA has provided necessary supports to introduce the country's first metro rail now under operation from Uttara to Motijheel since December 2022. The contest aims to showcase how the MRT has transformed the daily lives of its passengers and contributed to Dhaka's urban mobility since its launch.

According to the JICA guideline, participates will have to upload only one original and self-recorded video having a maximum duration of two minutes on Facebook with the hashtags #MyMRTExperience #JICABangladesh #DhakaMetroRail. After uploading the videos, they are required to fill in a form by February 28 which is available on https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdFzPtrQ6wE3tYtUQbcd0I_Uei12-zw0YWzRS2_mFQdxqutGA/viewform.

Three top videographers will be awarded a cumulative amount of BDT 50,000 which will be judged on criteria such as relevance to theme, creativity, technical quality, impact, highlighting partnership and innovation, and reach.
