Karmasangsthan Bank holds business review meeting on 100-Day programme progress

Karmasangsthan Bank held a business review meeting on 27 October 2024 at the BRAC Learning Centre in Shambhuganj, Mymensingh, to mark the progress of its 100-day special programme. The meeting included regional and branch managers as well as second officers from Mymensingh, Netrokona, Kishoreganj, Jamalpur, and Tangail regions.
Dr. A F M Matiur Rahman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Karmasangsthan Bank and former secretary, attended as the chief guest. Mymensingh Divisional Commissioner Ommey Salma Tanzia and Managing Director of Karmasangsthan Bank Arun Kumar Chowdhury were present as special guests.
The meeting was presided over by Meher Sultana, Deputy Managing Director of Karmasangsthan Bank, said a press release.
The chief guest emphasised the importance of providing quality customer service and achieving 100% target fulfilment across all indicators of the programme. Divisional Commissioner Tanzia praised the bank’s role in supporting socio-economic development, highlighting its efforts in providing loans to women entrepreneurs and financing initiatives for the Hijra community. She called for enhanced customer service to build a more inclusive and people-friendly approach.
Managing Director Chowdhury urged team members to ensure the success of the 100-day programme by improving customer service, digitising processes, increasing loan distribution, recovering defaulted and classified loans, enhancing the work environment, and boosting efficiency. He also stressed the importance of creating new entrepreneurs by offering loans to heritage sectors and underserved areas.
