Karmasangsthan Bank inaugurates 283rd branch in Ishwardi, Pabna

The 283rd branch of Karmasangsthan Bank, Ishwardi Branch, Pabna, was inaugurated on Thursday, 21 August 2025.

Dr. A. F. M. Matiur Rahman, Chairman of the bank’s Board of Directors and former Secretary, attended as the chief guest and officially opened the branch, according to a media release. 

At the inauguration ceremony, the Managing Director of Karmasangsthan Bank, Arun Kumar Chowdhury, and the General Manager of the Audit Division, Md. Amirul Islam, were present as special guests while Deputy General Manager of the Rajshahi Divisional Office, Md. Mukhlesur Rahman presided over the event.

Other attendees included the Deputy General Managers of the Head Office—Md. Moshiur Rahman (Loan & Advance Division) and Mr. Monoj Roy (Branch Control Division)—as well as members of all tiers of society and the local press.

During the inauguration, the chief guest distributed loan checks to the entrepreneurs of the Ishwardi branch.

Subsequently, a business development meeting was held at the ASM Kamal Uddin Memorial Hall of the Bangladesh Sugarcrop Research Institute at Ishwardi, Pabna, with participation from regional managers and branch managers from the Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogura, and Naogaon regions.

In his speech at the meeting, the chief guest advised everyone to ensure quality loan disbursement through proper customer selection.

He also urged all to strive to achieve 100% of their business targets from the beginning of the fiscal year and to work with honesty and dedication.

In his remarks, the Managing Director emphasized elevating recovery rates to the desired level, reducing defaulted and classified loans, and achieving 100% of all business indicators.

He recommended ensuring the desired achievements from the start of the current fiscal year through proper planning and hard work, the release adds.
