Karmasangsthan Bank organises Customer Gathering and Public Hearing in Sunamganj

Customer Gathering and Public Hearing organised by Sunamganj Branch of Karmasangsthan Bank on September 8 (Monday), 2025, at Shaheed Muktijoddha Jagatjyoti Public Library in Sunamganj with participation from the bank’s customers and stakeholders.

Dr. A.F.M. Matiur Rahman, Former Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Karmasangsthan Bank attended the event as the Chief Guest. Arun Kumar Chowdhury, Managing Director of Karmasangsthan Bank, and Dr. Mohammad Elias Mia, Deputy Commissioner of Sunamganj, were present as Special Guests, according to a press release.

The event was presided over by Md. Amirul Islam, General Manager of the Audit Department, and was also attended by Md. Aktar Hossain Pradhan, DGM, Loan Recovery Department, Monoj Roy, DGM, Branch Control Department, Md. Momtaz Uddin, DGM, Chattogram Divisional Office, and Md. Iqbal Hossain, Board Secretary, among others from the head office.

In his speech, the Chief Guest described Sunamganj as a district rich in tradition and full of potential. He assured support for local entrepreneurs engaged in agriculture, fisheries, haor-based products, and tourism industries. He also encouraged entrepreneurs to take loans from Karmasangsthan Bank to become self-reliant.

The Managing Director, in his remarks, urged all service providers to contribute from their respective positions to drive the country forward. He emphasized that Karmasangsthan Bank is financing entrepreneurs to make them self-sufficient and assured continuous support for the underdeveloped areas of Sunamganj. He called for disbursing the right amount of credit to the right person to engage them in productive economic activities.

The Deputy Commissioner of Sunamganj highlighted the role of Karmasangsthan Bank in reducing unemployment through financial inclusion and encouraged the creation of self-reliant entrepreneurs. He also noted significant potential for financing in sectors like leather industry, solar panels, and jewelry.

During this time, the guests listened to opinions and suggestions from invited stakeholders and customers and provided necessary guidance. Participants expressed satisfaction with the services provided by the bank.
