Kazi Md Talha new additional managing director of Padma Bank

Kazi Md Talha has joined Padma Bank Limited as its new additional managing director (AMD).

Prior to joining Padma Bank, Mr Talha served as the additional managing director and chief executive officer of the Islamic Banking window at NRBC Bank PLC, where he played a pivotal role in the organisation's success with his leadership, says a press release received on Tuesday.

With an illustrious career spanning 33 years both in conventional and Islamic banking, Mr Talha has accumulated a wealth of experience and expertise. His extensive background includes key roles in Islamic Banking, CRM, ICT, Financial Inclusion, Retail and Business Development, Corporate Marketing, and branch banking management.

Notably, he has held leadership positions at renowned institutions such as Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, Al Arafah Islami Bank PLC and Standard Bank Ltd.

Mr Talha holds an M.Sc and B.Sc in Statistics from the University of Chittagong, showcasing his academic prowess and commitment to continuous learning. As part of acquiring professional skills, he has received various advanced trainings in the country and abroad.
