Prominent banker Mr. Mohd. Khaleduzzaman has been promoted to the position of Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) on April 10, 2025.
A circular regarding his promotion was issued by the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance on that day, according to a press release.
Prior to this promotion, he served as General Manager at Bangladesh Krishi Bank. Mr. Mohd. Khaleduzzaman began his professional career in 2001 as a senior officer at the Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation (BHBFC).
He held various key positions within the organization, including regional manager of Dinajpur and Faridpur regions, zonal manager (Divisional Head) of Dhaka & Mymensingh divisions, and Head of the Audit and Recovery Department at the head office over the years. Till 2021, he served BHBFC with unwavering dedication and professional excellence.
Khaleduzzaman joined Bangladesh Krishi Bank as general manager on March 22, 2021. During that time, he held several vital roles including General Manager of the Faridpur and Dhaka Divisions and also carried out additional duties as the Principal of BKB Staff College. He served as General Manager (Planning & Operations) and General Manager (Administration) at the Head Office. Mr. Mohd. Khaleduzzaman has played a significant role in enhancing operational efficiency and administrative effectiveness at Bangladesh Krishi Bank.
He completed B.Sc. (Hons.) in Soil Science in 1992 and M.Sc. in 1993 from University of Dhaka. Later, he obtained an MBA in Finance and Banking and holds the professional degree of Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
Khaleduzzaman has written a notable number of publications in both national and international journals on topics such as mobile banking, governance in the banking sector, financial sector investment, forensic accounting for fraud detection, and the role of banking investment in Bangladesh’s emerging economy.
He has participated in various training programs and seminars at home and abroad. Mohammad Khaleduzzaman was born in 1971 in a respected Muslim family in Shaharbati village of Gangni Upazila, Meherpur District. He is the fifth child of Md. Akkas Ali and Khaleda Khanam. In his personal life, he is a proud father of two children.
