Mercantile Bank holds discussion on Bangabandhu’s life and works

Mercantile Bank Limited on Monday organized a discussion meeting on “Bangabandhu’s Life and Works” at its head office in Dhaka to observe the National Mourning Day on the occasion of the 48th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Md. Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, managing director and CEO of the bank, attended the programme as chief guest.

Bank’s Additional Managing Director and CRO Mati Ul Hasan, Deputy Managing Directors Adil Raihan, Shamim Ahmed, Hasne Alam, Md. Mahmood Alam Chowdhury, CFO Tapash Chandra Paul, PhD, SEVPs Asim Kumar Saha, Shah Md. Sohel Khurshid and Mohammad Iqbal Rezwan, Company Secretary Abu Asghar G. Haruni, CEO of Mercantile Bank Securities Ltd. K.M. Kutub Uddin Romel, and CEO of MBL Asset Management Ltd. Mohammad Samir Uddin, CFA, along with other senior executives and officers were present on the occasion.

After the discussion, a special doa mahfil was held seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu, his family members and relatives brutally killed on August 15, 1975.
