Mercantile Bank signs MoU with Bangladesh Bank

Mercantile Bank has recently signed an agreement with Bangladesh Bank, marking a pivotal move toward implementing the Entrepreneurship Development Program under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovative Program (SICIP).

This initiative aims to deliver entrepreneurship training, improve access to finance for emerging businesses, and foster inclusive economic growth across Bangladesh, according to a media release.

Nurun Nahar, Deputy Governor, Bangladesh Bank, Md. Khasru Parvez, Executive Director, Bangladesh Bank and Dr. Md. Zahid Hossain, Deputy Managing Director & CBO, Mercantile Bank PLC were present at the signing ceremony.

Syeda Amina Fahmin, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Finance; Nawshad Mustafa, Director (SMESPD), Bangladesh Bank, Md. Nazrul Islam, Programme Director and Additional Director (SICIP-PIU), Bangladesh Bank and Mohammad Faruque Ahmmed, Senior Vice President and Head of SME Financing Division, Mercantile Bank PLC were also present among others.
