Midland Bank, BB sign agreement

A signing ceremony of the participation agreement under Refinance Scheme for Ship Building Industry was held between Bangladesh Bank (BB) and Midland Bank Ltd. (MDB) at the head office of Bangladesh Bank in Dhaka on Wednesday.

In presence of A K M Sajedur Rahman Khan, Deputy Governor of BB, Md Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director & CEO of Midland Bank Limited and Md Nurul Amin, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank signed the agreement on behalf of their organizations.

Under this agreement, Midland Bank Limited (MDB) can facilitate its client with low cost long-term financing in the ship building industry to boost up country’s potential in ship building industry as well as diversifying country’s export basket.

Arief Hossain Khan, Director of BB, Md Nazim Uddin, Additional Director of BB, Muhammed Akhter-Uj-Jaman, Joint Director of BB and Mahedi Mamun, Deputy Director of the central bank and Mohd Javed Tareq Khan, SEVP & Head of Institutional Banking Division of MDB, Abu Shahadath Mohammad Shahed, SAVP & Head of Structured Finance Unit of the bank, were also present.
