Midland Bank celebrates 11th founding anniversary

Midland Bank PLC (MDB), a 4^th generation private commercial bank in the country, completed its 11^th year of its commercial operation on June 20, 2024.

On this auspicious occasion, Md Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director and CEO along with the senior management members and divisional heads of the bank, held a ‘dua’ session in the board room of the bank at Gulshan-2, Dhaka at a simple ceremony, according to a media release. 

Md Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director and CEO in his speech conveyed best wishes and thanks to all for the successful completion of 11 years of the bank.

A new product was launched on the occasion of the 11^th anniversary and the Managing Director, while expressing gratefulness to clients, shareholders, regulators and staff, said, “We are at the forefront of innovation in services and products and today, we are pleased to announce the introduction of MDB Digital Secured Credit Card. Our customers will now be able to apply and obtain a Secured Credit Card digitally against their DPS/FDR from anywhere anytime through MDB’s Mobile App "Midland Online." 

He observed that MDB has always been a pioneer in implementing technology-based solutions. The bank offers multiple customised solutions to its valued customers to meet their varied demands. Digitised Secured Credit Card is one of the new addition under the technological advancement of the bank, where no branch visit or paperwork is involved. The MD & CEO further added, “As we roll-out MDB Digital Secured Credit Card, we are moving further towards becoming more digitally oriented with access virtually for everyone from anywhere.”

All the branches, sub-branches and agent banking centres of the bank organised separate anniversary celebration in their respective locations along with the customers and well-wishers on the occasion of the bank’s 11^th founding anniversary, the release says.
