Midland Bank Family provides financial assistance of Tk 10 Lac to Bengal Institute

Midland Bank Family provided financial assistance of Tk 10.00 Lac to Bengal Institute for the comprehensive publication on the work and life of Architect Muzharul Islam.
The bank provided Tk 5.00 lac financial assistance from its Islami Banking Fund under its Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) activity. Remaining Tk 5.00 lac was contributed by Midland Bank Family Members, according to a media release.
Md. Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director & CEO of the Bank, handed over the cheques to Ms. Nusrat Sumaiya, Research and Design Director, Bengal Institute for Architecture, Landscapes and Settlements.
The programme was held on 14 December 2025 at the Head Office of the bank.
Bengal Institute for Architecture, Landscapes and Settlements has taken the initiative for the publication titled “Muzharul Islam: An Architect of Tomorrow,” which is part of the Architect Muzharul Islam Centenary Project marking the 100th birth anniversary of Architect Muzharul Islam.
This project includes a memorial programme, lecture series, commemorative video, and a comprehensive publication to be launched in early 2026. In appreciation of the initiative, Midland Bank Family decided to provide financial assistance to Bengal Institute.
Among others, Md. Rashadul Anwar, Head of PRD and Syed Saquibuzzaman, Head of Islami Banking Division of Midland Bank, were also present at the handover ceremony.
