Midland Bank’s 12th annual general meeting held

The 12th annual general meeting (AGM) of the Midland Bank PLC (MDB) was held on Wednesday at the BN Sagorika Hall, Naval Headquarters in Dhaka.

Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, chairman of the bank, presided over the AGM, says a media release.

Rezaul Karim, chairman of the bank’s executive committee; Mohammad Asif-uz-Zaman, chairman of the bank’s audit committee; and Dr Mostafizur Rahman, chairman of risk management committee in the Board of Directors; were also present at the AGM..

A large number of general and institutional shareholders attended the AGM physically.Many took part through digital platforms.

Directors including independent directors, sponsors, auditors and independent scrutinizer participated in the AGM. Md Ahsan-uz Zaman, managing director and CEO; Md Zahid Hossain, deputy managing director; Khalid Mohammad Sharif, company secretary; and Didarul Islam, chief financial officer (CFO) of the Bank; were also present in the meeting.

In the AGM, the Shareholders approved 3.0 per cent cash dividend and 3.0 per cent stock dividend for the year 2024.

Financial statement updated till 31 December 2024 was adopted in the meeting along with other relevant agenda.
