Modhumoti Bank organises workshop on islamic banking

Modhumoti Bank PLC. successfully organized a workshop on “Islamic Banking Fundamentals: Concept & Operational Methodology of Islamic Banking” on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Bank’s Head Office in Gulshan.

The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Md. Shafiul Azam, Managing Director & CEO of Modhumoti Bank, as the Chief Guest, according to a press release. 

Mr. Shahnawaj Chowdhury, Additional Managing Director, and Mr. Arab Fazlur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Business Officer, attended the event as Special Guests.

Mr. Md. Abdul Awwal Sarker AFIIBI, Director of Janata Bank PLC & Former Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, conducted the workshop, where MANCOM Members, Divisional Heads & Executives, and different Branch Managers of the Bank were present.

Basic concepts and operating methods of Islamic Banking were thoroughly discussed in the workshop.
