Modhumoti Bank PLC inaugurates Barlekha Branch

Modhumoti Bank PLC. has been continuously expanding its banking footprint through branches, sub-branches, and agent banking points, with a vision to extend its services further and gradually bring underserved communities under the umbrella of financial inclusion.

As part of this ongoing initiative, the bank inaugurated its “Barlekha Branch” at Haji Nizam Uddin Complex in the South Bazar area under Barlekha Upazila of Moulvibazar District on Sunday, January 18, 2026, according to a media release. 

Mr. Md. Shafiul Azam, Managing Director & CEO of the bank, inaugurated the branch as the Chief Guest of the inauguration event.

Mr. Shahnawaj Chowdhury, Additional Managing Director, and Mr. Arab Fazlur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Business Officer, were present as Special Guests of the event.

The event was also embraced by the presence of Mr. S.M. Shahin Iqbal, Head of Common Services Division; Mr. Dipon Chandra Roy, Manager, Modhumoti Bank Amberkhana Branch; Mr. S M Arifur Rahman, Head of Brand Communication & Public Relations; Mr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam, Manager of Barlekha Branch, and other Senior Officials of the bank.

Moreover, local public representatives, prominent businessmen, and dignitaries participated in the event.

Among them Mr. Md Joynal Abedin, Chairman of Borni Union Parishad in Barlekha, Mr. Nosib Ali, former Chairman of Sujanagar Union Parishad, and prominent businessmen Mr. Abdus Samad and Mr. Khizir Ahmed were present.
