Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) arranged the Annual Trade Based Compliance Conference 2025 on December 6, 2025 to create awareness on key deliverables for prevention of Trade Based Money Laundering.
The conference was held for MTB Officials relevant to Trade Servicing from Branches and Corporate Head Offices, according to a press release.
More than 100 participants attended; in addition, around 300 participants attended virtually.
The event was graced by Syed Mahbubur Rahman, MD & CEO of MTB as chief guest.
Dr. Shah Md. Ahsan Habib, Professor, Selection Grade, Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM) enlightened the participant as guest lecturer.
Additional Managing Director & Group Chief Risk Officer Chowdhury Akhtar Asif and Deputy Managing Director & Head of Credit Risk Management Division Usman Rashed Muyeen were also present at the event.
The day-long conference was hosted by Rais Uddin Ahmad, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Anti Money Laundering Compliance Officer moderated the event.
