MTB celebrates achievement of marathoner Partho Saha

Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) celebrated the extraordinary achievement of Partho Saha, a Bangladeshi ultra-marathoner, who successfully completed the grueling 100km Fishtail Ultra Trail Race held on May 17, 2025, in Pokhara, Nepal.

One of Asia’s toughest ultra-marathons, the Fishtail 100 challenges runners with extreme terrain, steep ascents, and unpredictable mountain weather under the shadow of Mount Machhapuchhare, according to a press release.

Out of 50 participants from across the globe, only five finished the race—and Partho was one of them. Carrying the flag of Bangladesh to the finish line, his feat stands as a symbol of resilience, endurance, and national pride.

MTB is honored to have been by his side on this remarkable journey, supporting his participation under the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
