MTB holds BM and BAMLCO conference on AML, CFT compliance

Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) has recently organised a Branch Manager (BM) and Branch Anti Money Laundering Compliance Officer (BAMLCO) Conference to update and raise awareness on key deliverables for Anti Money Laundering and Combating Financing of Terrorism (AML & CFT) compliance, according to a press release Tuesday.

The event, held on November 23, saw more than 120 participants attending in person, while 250 others joined virtually. Executives from MTB's Corporate Head Office were also present at the hybrid conference.

The conference was graced by AKM Ehsan, Acting Head of the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU), as the chief guest. Syed Mahbubur Rahman, MD and CEO of MTB, hosted the day-long event. Mohammad Mokter Hossain, Additional Director of BFIU, and Dilip Ch Das, Joint Director of BFIU, were present as guest speakers.

Additional Managing Directors, Deputy Managing Directors, members of the Management Committee, and Central Compliance Committee (CCC) of MTB also attended the conference. Rais Uddin Ahmad, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Anti Money Laundering Compliance Officer of MTB, moderated the event.
