Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) proudly announces the launch of the MTB NRB Account, a ground-breaking financial solution tailored specifically to meet the unique needs of non-resident Bangladeshis (NRBs).
According to a statement, this innovative product simplifies the account opening process and offers NRBs secure, seamless, and flexible access to banking services, whether they are in Bangladesh or anywhere across the globe.
The MTB NRB Account represents a significant step forward in facilitating financial inclusion, providing NRBs with secure, seamless, and flexible access to banking services globally. With just a smartphone or computer and internet access, customers can now complete the account opening process digitally, removing traditional barriers associated with cross-border banking.
NRBs can now open an MTB NRB Account from anywhere in the world—no need to visit a branch. This simplified and digitalised account opening process eliminates the traditional barriers of cross-border banking, making it easier for NRBs to access banking services from their mobile devices or computers at their convenience. Additionally, this initiative encourages the use of official remittance channels, further fostering formal financial inclusion.
After successfully opening an account, NRB customers gain access to a wide array of MTB’s digital banking services through the bank’s mobile app (MTB Neo) or internet banking. These include services such as fund transfers to Bangladeshi bank accounts or mobile wallets, bill payments, mobile top-ups, secured loans, fixed deposits, and more. MTB’s platform is designed to cater to all banking needs of NRBs, ensuring seamless and efficient access to financial products and services. Additionally, customers can enjoy value-added travel benefits such as access to international and domestic airport lounges, meet & greet services at major airports, and airport pick-up and drop-off services. These privileges are offered based on the account type and balance, further enhancing the travel experience for NRB customers.
With this forward-thinking initiative, MTB is showing its deep appreciation for the vital role that expatriates play in building and supporting the national economy.
Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of MTB, has recently launched the service at a simple ceremony held at MTB Centre, the Bank’s Corporate Head Office, Gulshan 1, Dhaka 1212, while MTB Management Committee members were also present at the ceremony.
