Nagad wins award at Eastern Bank Digital Excellence Awards 2025

Nagad has received the Excellence in Business Payout award from Eastern Bank Limited (EBL), one of the country’s leading private commercial banks, according to a press release.

Under this initiative, the bank honored 40 partner merchant organisations for their significant contributions to the bank’s growth and digital transformation.

EBL organised the event for the second time this year. The title of this year’s programme was “Skysfree: EBL Digital Excellence Awards 2025.” On Sunday, EBL honoured its business partners at a grand ceremony held at a convention hall in Dhaka.

EBL Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Ali Reza Iftekhar presented the award. On behalf of Nagad, the award was received by Bangladesh Bank–appointed Senior Associate Administrator, Md. Habibur Rahman, Associate Administrator, Anwar Ullah, and Nagad Chief Commercial Officer Mohammad Shahin Sarwar Bhuiyan. EBL Deputy Managing Director M. Khorshed Anwar, Head of Digital Financial Services Ahsan Ullah Chowdhury, along with senior officials of the bank and guests, were also present at the event.

Nagad was awarded in the payout category at this year’s EBL event for its outstanding contribution to advancing digital transactions in Bangladesh. Through its payout solutions and evolution, Nagad has made a significant impact by leveraging its extensive network and playing a notable role in driving digital financial inclusion.
