The daylong session brought together leadership and experience under one roof — fostering open dialogue, teamwork, and forward-thinking strategies to strengthen National Bank’s regional operations and overall business momentum, according to a press release.
Mr. Adil Chowdhury, Managing Director of National Bank PLC, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Also present were Mr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, SVP, Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Unit; Mr. Mohammad Towhidul Karim, SVP & Regional Manager, Chattogram; and Mr. Md. Iskander Ali Fakir, VP & Regional Manager, Cumilla, along with senior officials and all participating branch managers.
Throughout the discussions, participants identified four strategic imperatives shaping the Bank’s next phase of growth: Innovative deposit mobilization, efficient loan recovery, expansion of import business and strengthening sales and marketing performance.
These were reaffirmed as the pillars of National Bank’s roadmap toward resilience, profitability, and customer-centric excellence.
In his keynote address, Mr. Adil Chowdhury commended the dedication and professionalism of the branch managers, describing them as “the engines that power National Bank’s progress, stability, and reputation.”
He emphasized that the essence of modern banking lies not only in numbers, but in leadership, integrity, and innovation.
“The banking landscape is evolving faster than ever. To stay ahead, we must think boldly, act responsibly, and innovate continuously. Every decision we take must reflect our values and strengthen customer confidence,” remarked Mr. Chowdhury.
He further urged managers to uphold four guiding principles- thinking beyond limits, living with integrity, staying optimistic amid challenges, and remaining conscious of their impact. These, he said, form the foundation of sustainable leadership and institutional excellence.
The event concluded with a shared commitment from all branch leaders to translate strategy into measurable action- reaffirming National Bank’s vision of growth with integrity, innovation, and customer trust.
