The 12th National SME Products Fair, the largest event of 100 per cent domestic products, will kick off tomorrow (Sunday) in the city's Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre.
The SME Foundation under the Ministry of Industries is organising the fair.
SME Foundation Chairperson Md Mushfiqur Rahman said this at a press conference in the city on Thursday. About 350 small and medium enterprises will participate in the fair this time, of which about 60 per cent are run by women entrepreneurs.
In addition to entrepreneurs, about 15 government organisations, including seven departments and organisations of the Ministry of Industries providing services to entrepreneurs, 30 banks and financial institutions and other organisations will participate in the fair.
About 30-35 thousand buyers and visitors would visit the fair every day, he added.
Industry Advisor Adilur Rahman Khan will inaugurate the fair, Cultural Affairs Advisor Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Special Envoy of the Chief Advisor for International Affairs Lutfey Siddiqi, BIDA Executive Chairman Ashik Chowdhury, Governor of Bangladesh Bank Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur are expected to be present among others.
Crests and certificates will be distributed to six micro, small, medium and start-up entrepreneurs who won the National SME Entrepreneur Award 2025.
