Nazia Kabir joins Prime Bank as first female independent director

Prime Bank PLC has strengthened its Board of Directors with the appointment of Nazia Kabir as the first female Independent Director, according to a press statement Thursday.

Kabir, a partner at the renowned legal advisory firm 'Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed & Associates' and an advocate at the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, brings over two decades of experience with her.

She holds a Bar-at-Law degree from Lincoln’s Inn Society in the United Kingdom, an LLB (Honors) from the University of Wolverhampton, a Master’s degree in International Trade Law from Brunel University, and a Postgraduate Diploma from City University. She is also a member of both the Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association and the Dhaka Bar Association.

Kabir's expertise spans a wide range of legal areas, including company and banking law, project financing, public-private partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, and mediation and arbitration.
