NCC Bank achieves prestigious PCI-DSS certification for Card Data Security

NCC Bank has achieved internationally prestigious Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) certification for Card Data Security purpose.

This achievement was celebrated in the Innovation Center at NCC Bank's Head Office in the presence of M Shamsul Arefin, Managing Director and CEO (C.C.) of NCC Bank, Osman Haider, Director of ITCL and CMS Partner, Moshiul Islam, CEO of EIC, Mohammed Anisur Rahman, SEVP and CIO, Zobair Mahmood Fahim, Head of Cards and Digital Payment Division of NCC Bank and other officials of IT Division of the bank along with EIC officials, according to a press release. 

Shamsul Arefin, Managing Director and CEO (C.C.) said by achieving this PCI-DSS certification, NCC Bank's Card Information Security Standard has been risen to a new height.

"NCC bank is committed to protecting their customers’ financial information, sensitive data and intellectual property and this commitment has been recognised on such an international scale. Achieving this PCI-DSS certification would assist us in obtaining international standard card data security system", he said.

Mohammed Anisur Rahman, SEVP and CIO said PCI DSS is the globally accredited card data security standard adopted by the world-renowned payment card brands like VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, JCB etc.

"Achieving this certification is a milestone which is possible due to the dedicated efforts and hard work of the entire Project Team."

Finally, he expressed his sincere gratitude to the Board of Directors and members of the Senior Management Team for their overall cooperation regarding this achievement, the release says. 

Besides, Osman Haider, Director of ITCL, Moshiul Islam, CEO of EIC, Zobair Mahmood Fahim, Head of Cards and Digital Payment Division and Md Meizanur Rahman, Head of Information Security and IT Governance of NCC Bank, expressed hope in their speeches that the bank’s effort will go one step ahead to get customers trust and confidence through this achievement and the bank will be able to ensure the security of customers sensitive information in standardised manner.
