The newly elected office bearers of the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB) for the tenure 2024-26 took charge of running the association.
The TOAB Board of Directors, led by newly elected President Md Rafeuzzaman formally assumed office from the outgoing President Shiblul Azam Koreshi during the oath-taking and handover ceremony held in Dhaka city on Sunday, according to a press release.
Additional IGP of Bangladesh Tourist Police Mir Rezaul Alam, BPM, (Bar), joined the event as special guest.
TOAB’s 1st Vice President Abul Kalam Azad, Vice President Md Anwar Hossain, Director (Finance) Md Nooruzzaman Sumon, Director (Accounts) Md Saiful Islam, Director (International Affairs) Md Mansur Alam Parvez, Director (Media & Public-Relation) Md Younus, Director (Trade & Fair) Md Taslim Amin, Director (Legal Affairs) Abul Faisal Md Sayeem, Director (Printing & Publication) S M Billal Hossain Sumon, Director (Training & Research) Mohammad Moniruzzaman, Director (Information Technology) Zahir Ahmed Helal, Director (Culture & Sports) Md Ibrahim Khalil Noman, Director (Member and Human Welfare) Mohammad Hossen Fahim, Director (Property and Assets) Ziaur Rahman Zakir and other Directors Md Shahed Ullah, Didarul Absar, Jahirul Kabir Chowdhury (Shiru), Sabbir Ahmed and Md Nasir Uddin, TOAB Members, TOAB Officials, distinguished guests, tourism stakeholders and journalists from print and electronic media were present, among others, on the occasion.
Earlier, the TOAB Biennial Election 2024-2026 was held on June 1, 2024, at the Parjatan Bhaban, Agargaon, Dhaka. The office-bearer election was held on the following day at the TOAB office and following the completion of necessary formalities, TOAB Election Board Chairman Md Helal Uddin declared the final results on June 6, 2024. Md Nazmul Alam Bhuiyan Jewel and Aslam Khan are the other members of the Election Board.
Newly elected TOAB President Mr Rafeuzzaman thanked all concerned related to the TOAB Election 2024-26 and the outgoing president and the Board of Directors for holding a free and fair election.
