Newly elected FAO chief discusses social business project with Yunus

The newly elected Director General of Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations, Qu Dongyu recently concluded a discussion with Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus over a social business project.
The discussion was held over FAO-Yunus joint social business project in the Central African Republic at FAO headquarters in Rome, Italy recently.
The project in Central African republic is funded by the Italian government.
In the discussion, Professor Muhammad Yunus shared his views on future of agriculture, particularly in the context of environmental crisis and youth entrepreneurship in rural areas to slow down the migration of young people who move to urban areas in search of jobs.
FAO created FAO-Nobel Laureate Alliance for eradicating hunger in collaboration with Professor Yunus.
