NRB Bank signs deal with central bank on entrepreneurship development

NRB Bank PLC has signed a participation agreement with Bangladesh Bank under the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance on the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP) regarding Entrepreneurship Development Program with a view to arranging training program for entrepreneurs and supporting emerging business ventures across the country, according to a press release.
The signing ceremony has taken place recently in the presence of Mrs. Nurun Nahar, Hon’ble Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank. Mr. Nawshad Mustafa, Director, SMESPD of Bangladesh Bank and Mr. Md. Shaheen Howlader, Deputy Managing Director of NRB Bank PLC, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Mrs. Husne Ara Shikha, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank and Mr. Anwar Uddin, Managing Director (CC) of NRB Ban PLC also present in the event. Among others Mr. Md. Nazrul Islam, PD & Additional Director, Mr. Mohammad Wasim, DPD & Joint Director and Mr. Md. Ariful Islam, Deputy Director and project Coordinator, were also present at the event.
Under this agreement, NRB Bank will provide training to SME entrepreneurs on enhancing their skills, competitiveness and innovation with the aid of Bangladesh Bank.
This initiative marks another milestone in NRB Bank’s continued efforts to foster financial inclusion, empower new entrepreneurs and accelerate the nation’s journey towards a resilient and innovation-driven economy.
