NRBC Bank organized a town hall meeting in Rangpur to review operational progress and discuss strategic priorities for its branches in the northern region.
The event, held at a local hotel on Saturday, 9 August 2025, brought together officials from all levels under the Rangpur Zone, according to a media release.
Chairman Md. Ali Hossain Prodhania graced the meeting as Chief Guest, while MD & CEO Dr. Md. Touhidul Alam Khan, FCMA, presided over the proceedings.
The session was also attended by Deputy Managing Director & CFO Harunur Rashid, Rajshahi and Rangpur Zonal Head Ashim Kumar Das, along with other senior and field-level officers.
In his address, the Chairman Md. Ali Hossain Prodhania underscored the importance of financial inclusion in the northern districts, stating that NRBC Bank has been contributing to employment generation through its microfinance operations.
He emphasized the need to expand credit facilities to the CMSME (Cottage, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) sector in underserved and rural areas.
He called on bank officials to maintain full compliance with regulatory guidelines while ensuring transparency in lending activities.
He also stressed the importance of effective loan recovery and responsible banking practices to safeguard the bank’s financial health.
MD & CEO, Dr. Md. Touhidul Alam Khan, FCMA, highlighted the impact of the Bank’s microfinance initiatives, noting that thousands of individuals in marginalized communities have benefited through employment opportunities.
He instructed officers to enhance customer service standards and to foster trust by promoting governance, accountability, and transparency at all levels, the release adds.
