NRBC Bank holds workshop on reporting under Bangladesh Bank’s online monitoring system

NRBC Bank organized a workshop on Reporting to Online Import Monitoring System (OIMS) and Online Export Monitoring System (OEMS) introduced by Bangladesh Bank, according to a press release.
The workshop was held on Sunday, 21 December 2025, at the Human Resource and Training Development Centre (HRTDC) of the bank’s Head Office. The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Dr. Md. Touhidul Alam Khan, attended the workshop as the chief guest.
Training on proper reporting to reduce risks in foreign exchange transactions, compliance with regulatory guidelines, ensuring compliance, and effective use of modern technology to enhance customer service was conducted by Laila Akter, Deputy Director of the Foreign Exchange Operations Department (FEOD) of Bangladesh Bank, and Tasfia Tanjim Snigdha, Assistant Director.
The workshop was attended by the Head of the International Division of the bank, Hasnat Reza Mahibbul Alam, officials from relevant departments of the bank, as well as representatives of importers and exporters.
While speaking as the chief guest, the Managing Director and CEO of NRBC Bank, Dr. Md. Touhidul Alam Khan, said that proper reporting through the import–export monitoring system helps ensure accurate import costs of goods and timely repatriation of export proceeds. He noted that preventing money laundering through over-invoicing and under-invoicing makes foreign exchange transactions more transparent and accountable. He also provided guidance to the bank’s concerned officials and representatives of importers and exporters to ensure proper compliance with the policies and circulars issued by the regulatory authority, Bangladesh Bank, in conducting import and export activities.
