NRBC Bank supports students and citizens injured in anti-discrimination movement

NRBC Bank has provided assistance to those injured during the anti-discrimination student movement who are undergoing treatment in various hospitals. A total of Tk 5.0 million has been allocated from the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund for the treatment and rehabilitation of the injured.
On Monday, the money was paid to 43 protestors at the head office of NRBC Bank. Chairman of the bank Pervez Tamal, Vice Chairman Rafiqul Islam Mia Arzoo, Chairman and Director of Risk Management Committee AKM Mostafizur Rahman, Director Laquit Ullah, Managing Director (C.C.) Md. Rabiul Islam, DMD Kabir Ahmed, Harunur Rashid and Md. Humayun Kabir, Professor of Dhaka University Mizanur Rahman, Associate Professor Abdullah Al Mahmud, Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Coordinator Hasnat Abdullah, Sadiq Kayem, Shafiul Alam Shahen, Abdul Hannan Masod, Tahmid Al Mudassir Chowdhury, Arafat Hossain Bhuiya, Raihan Uddin, AB Jubair, Musaddiq Ali Ibn Mohammad, Sabbir Uddin Rion, Abid Hasan Rafi and other coordinators and co-coordinators were present.
Coordinator Sadiq Kayem said, the new Bangladesh will be without discrimination. Those who were martyred and injured in this movement for the rights should stand by their side. Their sacrifices should be remembered and come forward to form a new Bangladesh.
Coordinator Shafiul Alam Shahin said other financial institutions like NRBC Bank will also stand by the injured and martyred families. He urged to arrange permanent employment for the working members of the injured and martyred families. With the cooperation of all, we want to build an independent and free from discrimination Bangladesh.
Coordinator Hasnat Abdullah said that the treatment and rehabilitation of the injured is the most important thing at the moment. NRBC Bank has set an example by standing beside the martyrs and the injured. In the Bangladesh of harmony, everyone should come forward to build the country from their respective positions. The conspiracy against the country must be stopped. Under no circumstances will freedom be allowed to go unchallenged. We have to realize the purpose for which the student revolution took place at any cost. Otherwise, the martyr's blood will be disrespected. The assessment of thousands of wounded brothers will be realized in real terms when a fascism-free, non-discriminatory, independent Bangladesh is built.
Professor Dr Mizanur Rahman said, the way NRBC Bank has come forward in the formation of new Bangladesh is admirable. He hopes other financial institutions will come forward.
Chairman of NRBC Bank SM Parvez Tamal said, NRBC Bank will support those who have dreamed of building a new Bangladesh. NRBC Bank will arrange future employment in addition to providing treatment and donation to the injured. Besides, NRBC Bank will also provide scholarships for the injured students in the future. Employment arrangements will also be made for the working members of the martyr's family.
Vice Chairman Rafiqul Islam Mia Arzoo said, NRBC Bank will always be with all the good initiatives of the students. The country should move forward by eliminating all irregularities and corruption and establishing good governance.
Director Laquit Ullah said that just as NRBC Bank stands by the people in any disaster, NRBC Bank will also stand in the future by the golden sons of the nation who brought a new Bangladesh.
Director AKM Mostafizur Rahman said that NRBC Bank will be with the students and people in the formation of the country. The only demand of the people of the whole country is a non-discriminatory social structure. NRBC Bank has been trying since the beginning to break down the barriers to build a prosperous Bangladesh.
It should be noted that besides traditional banking, NRBC Bank has been conducting various activities for the welfare of the people. Every year 10 per cent of the profit is spent on CSR activities. In the recent flood situation, a donation of Tk 10 million has been made from the CSR Fund to the Chief Adviser's relief fund including Tk 5 million. Apart from this, personal donations of bank managers and one day's salary of officers and employees have been distributed among the flood victims. NRBC Bank has been named as 'Humanitarian Bank' for its philanthropic activities.
