The number of registered motorised vehicles in the country stood at 420,043 from January to October of the current calender year, according to official data.
Of the total, 136,281motorcycles were registered in Dhaka, according to Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) statistics.
The mode of vehicles that had the highest number of registration was motor cycles, while cargo vans were the lowest number registered vehicles, found the data.
340,432 motorcycles were registered between January and October 2019, while the number of cargo vans registered was only four, the data added.
