In keeping with the continuous development of the country’s communication infrastructure, Nagad’s technological innovations are making people’s lives more convenient. As part of such ongoing efforts, travellers can now pay Padma Bridge tolls through Nagad.
From now on, Nagad customers can instantly pay Padma Bridge tolls using their Nagad wallet, according to a press release.
Nagad has recently introduced this facility for its customers by integrating with the interoperable toll payment system, D-Toll, under the ‘EkPay’ platform of the Access to Information (a2i) Programme.
To pay tolls through Nagad, customers need to follow a few simple steps. First, a Nagad user must register by going to the ‘Toll’ option in the Nagad app. After logging into the app, the customer needs to select the ‘Toll’ option, then choose the ‘Tap to use’ option, and click on ‘Register’. After that, the customer must enter their name, agree to the terms and conditions, and submit the information.
In the second step, the customer needs to click on the ‘Wallet Attach’ option, select ‘Accept’, and provide their Nagad wallet number. An OTP will then be sent, which must be entered, followed by the Nagad password, thus completing the wallet attachment process. In the third step, the customer must go to the ‘Top-Up’ option, enter the desired amount, agree to the terms and conditions, and submit to complete the top-up.
To link a vehicle to the Nagad wallet for toll payment, the customer must provide the required vehicle details, tap the ‘Yes’ option, enter the OTP, and submit. On successful completion of all these steps, Padma Bridge tolls can be paid easily through Nagad.
Besides, after completing registration, customers must have their BRTA-approved RFID tag verified at the Mawa Toll Plaza. New or first-time registered customers are required to complete this verification process once.
After that, travellers can use the ETC lane while crossing the Padma Bridge, following the approved speed limit, the release adds.
