The Premier Bank PLC organized the ‘Agent Banking Conference 2025’ at the bank’s head office recently.
The conference was inaugurated by its Managing Director & CEO Mohammad Abu Jafar as the Chief Guest, according to a media release.
Additional Managing Director Shamsuddin Chowdhury, Shahed Sekander (Managing Director, Premier Bank Securities Limited), Deputy Managing Director & CFO, Sayed Abul Hashem, FCA, FCMA and other high officials of the bank.
Led by Md. Ahsan Ul Alam, SEVP & Head of Agent Banking Division, the conference reviewed the achievements of 2024 and discussed strategies to meet 2025 business goals.
Mohammad Abu Jafar highlighted the contributions of the 200 agent banking outlets nationwide, particularly in bringing banking services to underserved areas and facilitating remittance collection.
"Agents are vital business partners. Premier Bank has been working diligently towards the goal of financial inclusion by helping farmers and small entrepreneurs and by delivering school banking services in remote areas across the country. Their tireless efforts drive financial inclusion and support economic growth. We remain committed to deepening collaboration with them," he stated.
