Prime Bank honours entrepreneurs on World MSME Day 2025

On the occasion of World MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) Day 2025, Prime Bank PLC recognized seven of its entrepreneur clients from across the country for their outstanding contributions.

The recognition was conferred at a special event titled “Entrepreneurs’ Conference and Recognition Ceremony”, held on 28 June at a hotel in Dhaka, according to a press release. 

In an inspiring gathering of over a hundred entrepreneur clients from various regions, Prime Bank reaffirmed its commitment to SME development. From its 11,500+ active loan clients, six SME entrepreneurs and one agri-entrepreneur were selected for special recognition.

Prime Bank has always stood beside small and medium entrepreneurs and will continue to do so.

The recipients were selected based on criteria including product diversity, annual revenue, workforce size, relationship with the bank, entrepreneur profile (male/female), and nature of the business (manufacturing, services, or trading).

The event was graced by Naushad Mostafa, Director, SMESPD, Bangladesh Bank, as the Chief Guest.

The keynote address was delivered by Md. Nazim Hasan Sattar, Deputy Managing Director, SME Foundation. Also in attendance were Hassan O. Rashid, CEO of Prime Bank PLC; M. Nazeem A. Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director and other senior officials of the bank.

Hassan O. Rashid, CEO of Prime Bank PLC stated, "These businesses are the arteries of our economy. They generate employment, drive rural development and form the backbone of a self-reliant Bangladesh. The growth of this sector means prosperity, stability and a society with equal opportunities. Prime Bank has long been working to finance and empower the MSME sector. This recognition is a tribute to their diverse offerings, job creation and contributions to service and trade."
